Through all of their treacherous lies, the mainstream media invariably obey one cardinal rule: do not, under any circumstances, drop the false pretension of impartiality. Always tell the American people that the lies and slander they hear on the nightly news represent impartial fact, and that the Botox-filled faces on their screens conceal nothing but the wisest and most honest journalistic minds. Always insist that reality is the way that the hyperpartisan cronies in the mainstream networks construe it to be. But recently, Terry Moran, a senior national correspondent at ABC News, broke the golden rule of liberal journalism: he revealed his true feelings to the public.
In a tweet that went viral before he could delete it, Moran attacked White House Deputy Chief of Staff and U.S. Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller, one of the most honest and successful men to work the Trump Administration. “Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred,” Moran wrote. “He’s a world class [sic] hater. You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate.” Moran proceeded to compare Miller unfavorably with President Donald J. Trump, slandering President Trump’s “hatred [as] only a means to an end,” whereas Miller’s is apparently an end in and of itself.
In the eyes of ABC News, Moran’s biggest crime is letting the mask of journalism slip to reveal the face of the devil beneath. But in the eyes of the American People, this was a big moment: the facade of “impartial journalism” has come crashing down to reveal the naked partisanship of the press. Moran is not a small-time reporter. As far back as the Clinton Administration, he served as ABC News’ Chief White House Correspondent. He anchored Nightline for nine years until 2013. Since then, he has alternated as the network’s chief foreign and national correspondents. His views are perfectly representative of the outlook of the Fake News ABC network at large.
Moran’s attack on Stephen Miller is unfounded and unfair. Miller’s patriotism and love for the United States has been on display for decades. While only 16, he penned an op-ed remarking that the “political correctness [is] out of control” at Santa Monica High School, where he was a junior at the time. At the White House today, he is the grand mastermind of President Trump’s crusade to reforge the United States. He is the architect of the President’s mass deportation policy, which is the common-sense effort to restore the integrity of America’s borders.
Since 2017, Miller has designed President Trump’s immigration policies for the White House. On March 14, President Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegals who commit acts of terrorism in the United States. That policy was the brainchild of Stephen Miller. He also designed two travel bans, designated Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations, is ending birthright citizenship, and revoked the visas of foreign students who hate the United States. Stephen Miller has worked indefatigably restore America’s sovereignty over its borders and homeland.
When the Biden Regime began occupying the White House, Miller founded the America First Legal Foundation (AFL) to lead the charge against Biden’s anti-American activity. The AFL is responsible for some of the most important legal victories against the Biden Regime. In Garland v. Cargill, the Supreme Court overturned the unconstitutional ban on bump stocks. In America First Legal v. FCC, the Fifth Circuit ruled that the Biden Regime’s attempt to force diversity, equity, and inclusion laws on media organizations was unlawful. Just last week, our Club endorsed a unanimous Supreme Court that reaffirmed its ban on reverse discrimination; Justice Clarence Thomas cited the AFL’s brief twice in his concurrence. It is fair to say that Stephen Miller is one of the foremost American patriots today, which is why the vicious, nasty partisans in the press crack open new casks of vitriol especially for him.
For their crimes against the public interest, the time has come for the federal government to enforce existing laws that ABC’s parent company, Disney, has been violating for years. Disney owns much of the American media, including ABC News, ESPN, Marvel and Lucasfilm, 21st Century Fox, A&E, FX, National Geographic, Lifetime, and the History Channel. Over the last five years, Disney acquired the entirety of the streaming service Hulu; in January, it acquired a controlling stake in Fubo. Now, it plans to merge Fubo with Hulu to create a live television distribution program for the content that its own subsidiaries create.
The proposed merger of Fubo and Hulu is illegal under the Sherman Antitrust Act, and legal precedent supports government intervention to prohibit it. There is a principle in antitrust law that a company cannot monopolize too much of different levels within the same supply chain. In 1948, the Supreme Court decided in United States v. Paramount Pictures, Inc., that the Sherman Antitrust Act prohibited Hollywood production studios from owning their own movie theaters. In 2020, the Department of Justice sunsetted this ban with the changing media landscape. Today, however, Disney is blatantly violating the same principle of law by owning both production studios and streaming services. In the modern media environment, this is as illegal today as it was in 1948.
The New York Young Republican Club calls on all applicable federal regulators, including the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Federal Communications Commission, to thoroughly investigate the proposed merger of Fubo and Hulu for antitrust violations. Yesterday, Terry Moran revealed the true face of ABC News: vicious partisanship and hatred for America and its patriots. Moran’s libelous smear of Stephen Miller was unwarranted, uncalled for, and has no place in journalism. As FCC Chairman Brendan Carr noted in April, “federal law requires … licensed operations to serve the public interest. News distortion doesn’t cut it.” Multiple grounds exist to thoroughly investigate ABC News and Disney. Let’s throw the book at them.
