The New York Young Republican Club is proud to release the results of its first straw poll of the 2024 Presidential Primary.
Poll results were clear: Club members strongly favor the nomination of President Donald J. Trump. In a head-to-head matchup with Ron DeSantis, two-thirds of respondents (66.88%) favored President Trump over DeSantis.
The results barely change when considering a larger primary field, where President Trump holds a 37-point lead over second-place candidate DeSantis. President Trump received 64.35% support, and DeSantis received 27.44% support. Vivek Ramaswamy and Nikki Haley received 3.47% and 1.58%, respectively, while no other announced or likely Republican primary contender broke 1%.
This poll surveyed exclusively active members of the Club and received 317 responses.
