By November 15, 2020No Comments

For the first time in over 15 years, the New York Young Republican Club has been awarded by the Young Republican National Federation.

This weekend, in Jackson, Wyoming, the Young Republican National Federation held their 2020 Fall Retreat. There, several awards were presented to both state federations, local clubs, and individual Young Republicans.

Young Republican National Federation Chairman Rick Loughrey bestowed the ‘Outstanding Club Social Media’ Award to Club President Gavin M. Wax, who received it on behalf of the New York Young Republican Club.

The award is given to a local club that maintains an active social media presence that offers an innovative and effective approach to achieve the Young Republican National Federation’s national goals through online social media activity.

Currently, the New York Young Republican Club has the largest social media following of any other Young Republican organization, including the national federation.

For the past year and a half, the Club’s social media has been managed by Alexandra R. Fasulo, who first served as the Club’s Communications Chair on the Board of Governors and now serves as the Club’s Corresponding Secretary on the Executive Board.
