The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Summer Johnson for Marion Town Supervisor.
Johnson and her family have lived in Wayne County for years, and Johnson herself has been a resident of and activist for rural communities for over three decades. As such, Johnson is intimately familiar with the unique challenges that come with living and thriving in a farming, manufacturing, and livestock community.
Johnson describes her grit and determination as a candidate as stemming from her experience as a high school dropout and teen mother who was forced to face the harsh realities of the world from a very young age. “My personal values are what drive my work in community outreach, charity, government change, and Christian faith based family life. My blue-collar parents bestowed a strong work ethic that I expect from everyone,” Johnson states.
Johnson’s experience navigating struggles and achieving success is representative of her grassroots approach to not only her local, people-focused campaign, but also her mentality as an activist for her community. Johnson spent years raising her young children while helping her grandmother publish the local newspaper in Honeoye Falls, New York. She developed a passion for writing and legal theory, which propelled her to enroll in a local paralegal program and eventually co-found New York Families for Tomorrow, a 501(c)(3) focused on pro se legal education in custody, divorce, and separation cases throughout New York State. This, along with a substantial amount of activism, allowed Johnson to help five other states pass legislation reforming family law and custody practices.
After recently earning her Bachelor’s Degree, Johnson now works in marketing communications and continues to build relationships in her community as a member of SCOPE, Moms for Liberty, and the Marion Town Planning Board. Johnson is also a licensed New York State Hunter and Veteran Support as an Army Veteran spouse.
Johnson possesses the sincerity and integrity needed to lead New York and has shown that she is neither afraid nor hesitant to tackle any challenge head-on. This is the strength that New York needs, now more than ever.
A champion of fiscal responsibility, the preservation of traditional farming practices, our Second Amendment rights, and parental rights, Johnson’s values and platform are aligned with the conservative movement.
The New York Young Republican Club believes Johnson will be a strong leader as Marion Town Supervisor and encourages all registered voters of Marion, New York, to vote for Summer Johnson on November 7th!
