The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Helen Qiu for the New York State Assembly in the 65th District, representing Chinatown, the Financial District, and the Lower East Side.
Qiu’s story is the American Dream in action. A mother, pastor, and former Silicon Valley engineering manager, she earned her master’s and doctorate from Columbia University. Today she teaches at Manhattan College and serves as Vice President of the Manhattan Republican Party. She has twice run for City Council in Lower Manhattan, posting some of the strongest Republican results the borough has seen in years.
With District 65 an open seat, Lower Manhattan cannot afford another rubber stamp for the Mamdani-Hochul agenda. In Albany, Qiu will fight to roll back failed bail policies, support the NYPD, defend the SHSAT, cut taxes, and create real pathways to homeownership for working families.
The New York Young Republican Club believes Helen Qiu will be an effective and principled Assemblywoman for the 65th District and fully endorses her candidacy. We encourage all members of the NYYRC residing in Chinatown, Lower East Side or the Financial District to cast their ballot for Helen Qiu.
