The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Darren Aquino for Florida’s 19th Congressional District. Serving as one of our nation’s staunchest advocates for the disabled and having founded Advocates for Disabled Americans, Veterans, Police, Firemen, and Families (ADA VETs), Darren was also a 2016 New York City Mayoral candidate before his personal life took him to Naples, Florida. His open, personable platform places its pillars of support around disability rights, a more accountable federal natural disaster program, improving veterans’ quality of life, Medicare and Medicaid reform, and defending our 2nd Amendment rights.
As a disabled American of Puerto Rican descent, Darren has long fought for those left behind, and he strives to take that fight to DC on behalf of the 19th District. Darren has long believed—and works to ensure—that middle-class American families and workers come first; so much so, in fact, that, if elected, he plans to donate most of his salary to local charities. Darren’s willingness to stand for his beliefs and provide a voice to the underrepresented are needed in Washington now more than ever before.
