On Thursday, February 25, a thirty-five-year-old FDNY firefighter, Carmine Barresi, tragically passed away in a snowmobile accident in Upstate New York. Carmine leaves behind a pregnant wife and two-year-old child.
The Fires and Drums Foundation has donated $10,000 to the family during this trying time. The New York Young Republican Club has been supporting the organization for the last month and will continue to support the organization’s efforts, which support families such as the Barresi family. Tragedies that occur off-duty happen and families fall between the cracks. The New York Young Republican Club will contribute $475 to the Fires and Drums organization, and we encourage our members to donate to replenish the funds so that the organization can continue its great work.
The Fires and Drums Foundation supports first responders in their times of need, including firefighters, police officers, and military personnel.
