The Biden regime is failing Hawaiians worse than their own state leaders in the aftermath of the Maui wildfires. It is devastating enough that Hawaii’s state leadership was completely ill-equipped and negligent in handling the catastrophe, appointing nothing more than a political hack to lead emergency management operations and allowing a complete buffon restrict the amount of water that could’ve quenched the quickly spreading flames.
At least 115 Hawaiians have perished in only a small percentage of the burn zone that has been reported so far, during the fires. Over 850 Hawaiian residents are still missing with a sliver of hope they’ll ever be found alive. Children returning to school this month will sit next to empty desks wondering if they’ll ever see their classmates again. Perhaps there wouldn’t be such a large toll of innocent Americans burned alive if Hawaii’s government didn’t prioritize “equity” and woke rhetoric in preventing water from being used by firefighters. But to make matters worse, our federal government is too busy prioritizing the needs of foreign nations while leaving our own people left to suffer slowly.
As Biden has sent over $75 billion of our taxpayer money to the Ukraine since their war began, devastated Hawaiian residents have only received $700 after losing their homes.
The New York Young Republican Club stands in solidarity with the people of Maui during this devastating time and is committed to supporting their recovery efforts.
The New York Young Republican Club firmly believes that our government’s primary responsibility should be towards its own citizens, especially in times of crisis. It is unacceptable for the Biden regime to neglect the urgent needs of the people in Hawaii while allocating our taxpayer dollars to countries that could care less about us. We condemn this negligence and call for immediate action to rectify the situation.
In light of these circumstances, the New York Young Republican Club and its members have made a donation to Americares, an organization dedicated to providing aid and support to those affected by disasters. We encourage everyone to join us in extending a helping hand to the people of Hawaii by donating to Americares. Every $1 donated can provide $20 in aid, making a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Let us come together as Americans, setting aside political differences, to support Hawaii as they rebuild their communities. Together, we can make a positive impact and bring hope to those whose lives have been turned upside down.
