Deep in the glowing flames of Hades, a special place is reserved for fake Republicans who abuse their proud Party tradition to support left-wing race communism. At the gates of this hellish kingdom, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski welcome new arrivals. Mitt Romney and John McCain eternally rake coal into ever-burning piles. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are doomed to share teatime forever. Teeming masses of aborted children take their revenge on Anthony Kennedy and David Souter. Sitting atop a towering throne of skulls, however, one notices a little-known political candidate who threatened untold damage on New York City Republicans: a man named Ari Kagan.
As President Donald J. Trump racks up win after win, the Republican Party is attracting swarms of grifters at every level of government. In New York City’s 48th City Council District, a group of former leftists are conspiring to oust MAGA incumbent Inna Vernikov. Yesterday, Ari Kagan – a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat – was endorsed by two former fellow travelers who, like him, suddenly “found conservatism.” Together, this cabal of ex-Democrats threatens to seize control of the Brooklyn Republican Party unless Kagan is emphatically rejected by voters in the June 24 Primary Elections.
A brief look at Ari Kagan’s voting record is enough to confirm that he belongs nowhere near the levers of power, let alone the Republican Party. Even after “becoming a Republican” in 2022, he voted on the City Council to expand entitlements, extend rent controls, create a dedicated City commission to study the “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, [and] asexual” orientations, fund trauma care for illegal immigrants, provide transgender services for incarcerated prisoners, expand access to transgender surgeries – even for children – and, last but not least, create a Homeless Bill of Rights that guaranteed the God-given, inalienable right to sleep on the street. As a reminder, Ari Kagan did all of this damage as a Republican.
As the saying goes, if it looks like a Democrat, votes like a Democrat, and supports transgender surgeries for minors, it’s probably a Democrat. Ari Kagan is a parasite on the Republican Party, and no amount of faux MAGA whitewashing can change that fact. Like all parasites, Kagan is draining energy and nutrients from the Brooklyn GOP to sustain himself. If he succeeds in conquering the Party from the inside on June 24, he will emerge from the election waving a fifty-foot pride flag and spouting enough race communism to dye the Hudson rainbow.
The problem here does not end with Kagan, however. The larger issue lies with Republican politicians and organizations who excuse decades of anti-Republican activism from candidates they endorse. Willfully myopic, they allow Kagan to delude innocent, unsuspecting voters into supporting a left-wing agenda at odds with their values. So what Republicans, that is, would even consider endorsing Kagan?
Like Kagan, State Assemblymen Alec Brook-Krasny and Michael Novakhov are “reformed Democrats.” Brook-Krasny was a Democrat for decades before suddenly joining the GOP in 2022. A former Hillary Clinton donor, Brook-Krasny spent 10 years as a Democrat in the State Assembly, before he stepped aside to run a laboratory in Sheepshead Bay. There, he worked hand-in-hand with a convicted pill mill operator; bribery charges against Brook-Krasny himself were hung in the jury. Having failed at fraud, Brook-Krasny once again tried his hand at politics. Unfortunately for Kings County Republicans, he now presented as one of them. Yesterday, Brook-Krasny joined forces with Michael Novakhov, another ex-Democrat, to endorse Ari Kagan.
The New York Young Republican Club stands against the Ex-Democrat Grifter Cabal and opposes their attempt to conquer the Brooklyn GOP. If Brooklyn Republicans want conservative representation, they ought to support the only MAGA candidate in this race: Inna Vernikov. At our Club’s 111th Annual Gala, President Donald J. Trump brought Inna on-stage to honor her support for the MAGA Movement. On the City Council, Inna sponsored more than 250 bills to improve the lives of New Yorkers with real, conservative governance. From leading the charge against vaccine mandates and pro-Hamas radicalism to fighting the illegal migrant invasion, Inna Vernikov has a record of conservatism that Kagan cannot even properly fake.
When she was elected to office in 2021, Inna Vernikov flipped a seat that was Democratic for over 100 years. Let’s not let Ari Kagan flip it back.
