On Monday, February 13, 2023, the New York Young Republican Club will launch a groundbreaking, nationwide networking initiative: The Manhattan Project.
The Manhattan Project will recruit, train and place hundreds of young people into political jobs, including congressional, state, and local legislative staffer positions, media roles, and auxiliary positions by 2024. It will maintain an unmatched repository of such opportunities and be the go-to source for both interested young people and those looking to fill positions.
Manhattan Project USA marks an ambitious expansion for the New York Young Republican Club, targeting both state capitals and Capitol Hill. Conservative politicians and activists need reliable, highly competent support; Manhattan Project USA will meet that need.
The Manhattan Project’s Monday launch event will feature former New York gubernatorial candidate and Club Member Andrew Giuliani as the keynote speaker. In the lead-up to the launch, the Manhattan Project will debut an ad campaign, website, and other promotional materials. The New York Young Republican Club’s Advisory Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Michael R. Bartels, will lead the Manhattan Project, and the initiative’s leadership will also include local leaders in other states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Virginia.
Statement from New York Young Republican Club Advisory Chairman Michael R. Bartels: “This is the first step of many in taking our country back for the American People. Before you think about a candidate’s viability, you need to make sure that good people surround them. That was the mistake we made in 2016, and Manhattan Project USA will rectify it in advance of the 2024 presidential election.”
