The New York Young Republican Club is on the lookout to fill several new openings on our Board of Governors. We are looking for members who have a passion for both conservative politics and a background in the duties of these specific committees.
The following committees are in need of new Chairmen: Gala, Media, Outreach, Policy, and Socials.
All of these committees report directly to the Executive Committee.
Applicants must be current members of the Club in good standing and must commit to one board meeting and multiple Club events per month, including the Annual Gala.
The Gala Committee Chairman will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and overseeing all efforts related to our Annual Gala, our largest event of the year. We are looking for someone with a passion for and a background in event, wedding, gala planning, catering, or hospitality. The Gala will tentatively take place on December 9th. Strong Excel skills are a must!
The Media Committee Chairman will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and overseeing all efforts related to our Club’s media content creation. We are looking for someone with a passion for and a background in photography, cinematography, content creation, graphic design, and/or podcasting.
The Outreach Committee Chairman will be responsible for facilitating relationships with other clubs and organizations along with managing the Club’s various caucuses. We are looking for someone with a passion for both conservative politics and a background in sales, networking, or community organizing.
The Policy Committee Chairman will be responsible for drafting policy papers and statements, amending our policy platform, and keeping the Board abreast of all policy-related happenings pertinent to the mission of the Club. We are looking for an individual passionate about conservative politics with experience in public policy, law, government, and political campaigns.
The Socials Committee Chairman will be responsible for organizing and coordinating all the Club’s social and networking events in conjunction with the Speakers Committee. We are looking for an individual with experience in event planning/hosting to lead the Socials Committee.
