The New York Young Republican Club joined the Bull Moose Project by sending a letter to Federal Trade Commission Designated Agency Ethics Official Lorielle Pankey concerning potential improper connections of Commissioner Holyoak’s Chief of Staff Christopher Mufarrige.
The letter reads in part:
We are writing to express our acute concern about the influence that Christopher Mufarrige, Chief of Staff to Federal Trade Commissioner Melissa Holyoak, is in a position to exert over pending Big Tech regulatory actions. As we witness the commercialization of artificial intelligence, biometrics, and other new technologies, this is a moment of opportunity for the tech giants — which leads to the grave risk that regulatory capture will frustrate the work of agencies like yours to protect the free market.
