JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a creative, thorough and hardworking Editorial Producer to join The Bottom Line with Dagen & Duffy on FOX Business. As an editorial producer, you will be responsible for drafting stories teases in close collaboration with the show’s hosts & producers. As part of the producing process, you will be writing, conducting research, selecting sound bites, editing video and building graphics. You are well-versed in business news, politics, culture and current events. You’re well-versed in history and rely on it generously to provide context to stories & ideas. You can easily spot the “big picture” or driving force behind every story.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Brainstorm original ideas and angles; conduct necessary in-depth research
• Create & maintain a detailed list of relevant storylines and resources
• Choose & edit elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics
• Collaborate with the senior team to provide editorial guidance to producers
• Participate in daily team meetings and pitch stories tailored to show hosts and the audience

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 2-4 years of prior television experience
• Knowledge of business news, current events, politics and pop culture
• Ability to work collaboratively with others under intense deadline pressure
• Ability to work independently but also implement ideas described by others
• Willingness to listen, learn and grow
• Experience in a live control room
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related study preferred, or equivalent experience
