Dear NYYRC Members,
You are invited to join us on a day trip honoring the heroes of the American Civil War. The NYYRC History Committee and Sullivan County Young Republicans have organized a visit to the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center located at 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
Please arrange for car transportation or consider carpooling as we plan to set off from NYC at 7:00 AM, targeting our arrival at the museum by 11:00 AM – perfect timing for lunch and a museum walk-through. Explore the historic grounds, hear stories of bravery, and pay tribute to those who fought in the American Civil War. Admission to the museum is approximately $45, which we will collect upfront. Note: You are responsible for arranging transportation to and from the event.
Afterward, we will meet at 1 PM for a self-guided tour of the Gettysburg Battlegrounds and visit several important monuments. These include the State of Pennsylvania Monument, the 42nd New York Infantry Monument, the North Carolina Memorial, the State of Tennessee Memorial, the State of Louisiana Monument, the State of Mississippi Monument, the Virginia Monument, General James Longstreet Monument, Devil’s Den, New York State Auxiliary Monument, Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address Monument, and Little Round Top.
We will gather for a delightful dinner at Dobbin House Tavern at 5 PM at 89 Steinwehr Ave. Our estimated departure time is 7 PM, and we’ll arrive back in NYC by 11 PM.
Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow young Republicans and immerse yourself in American history! Please sign up, and we hope to see you there.

NYYRC History Chairman
Brent Gotsch,
