The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Tamara Lashchyk for New York State’s 66th Assembly District seat. A lifelong New York City resident born to Ukrainian immigrant parents, Tamara spent 26 years on Wall Street before founding a career and business consultancy where she serves as CEO. Tamara’s professional experience, integrity, and tough yet practical mentality will serve constituents well with her platform’s support for local small business, addressing a dramatic increase in crime, and helping Albany prepare for future crises. During her Wall Street career, she served on the crisis response teams at two major Wall Street banks during 9/11 and the Global Financial Crisis, including as a Director of Global Compliance Risk Management, an experience that would serve Albany particularly well. In 2019, Tamara was the recipient of the Women of Wall Street Award, acknowledging her distinguished work in the advancement of women in Financial Services. She is also the author of Lose the Gum: A Survival Guide for Women on Wall Street, Main Street and Every Street in Between, released in 2017. Tamara firmly believes that balanced American values, including integrity, purpose, and creativity—all integral to moving forward together—are what New York State needs in a time of hyper-partisan, divided politics.
