The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Paolo Pironi for election to Nassau County Legislature District 18. A born and bred Long Islander, Pironi has years of experience in business, grassroots activism, and community service, and would bring his unique skill set and private sector background to the Legislature.
Pironi graduated from the New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Upon his graduation, he started to work in his family’s business, Pironi Homes, bringing a new set of technologies and marketing ideas to further the company’s development. In his own words, Pironi has “built his career helping families achieve the American dream of homeownership.”
Pironi serves on the Long Island Builders Institute Board, is a Lieutenant in the Fire Department and has spent 12 years as a volunteer firefighter, is an Associate Board Member of the Association for a Better Long Island, is a member of the American Institute of Architecture and the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Chamber of Commerce, and works tirelessly to raise charitable funds for the American Cancer Society, diabetes research, and for families of victims of 9/11. A son of Italian immigrants, Pironi understands what working your whole life to achieve the American Dream in New York is truly about. He is a home builder by trade, but has extensive experience in business management and job creation. He understands the Long Island business mentality and exactly why so many small businesses are struggling, especially during the Pandemic.
If elected to the Nassau County Legislature, Pironi would prioritize handling the incredibly high property taxes and fixing the broken assessment system that has severely lowered the quality of life of Nassau County residents. He believes that not enough is being done to help senior citizens, veterans, and volunteer firefighters secure property tax exemptions. Pironi will also back law enforcement and everyone serving on the front lines during these unprecedented times.
