The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Michael Tannousis for New York State’s 64th Assembly District seat. A lifelong Staten Island resident born to Greek immigrant parents, Mike spent 8 years as a prosecutor and Assistant District Attorney (ADA) in the Bronx County and subsequently Richmond County District Attorney’s offices before practicing private law at a renowned Staten Island firm. Mike’s professional experience and demonstrated commitment to public service will serve constituents well with his platform’s focus on addressing the disastrous Bail Reform bill passed in 2019, support of local small business, and property tax reform.
Mike began his career in public service in 2006, serving as a Legislative Assistant to City Councilman James Oddo before attending the Pace University School of Law and being admitted to the New York State Bar in 2012. Mike will proudly and effectively fight for a better quality of life for constituents of the 64th District, as departing Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis has for years, and has been endorsed by Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump Jr., and the Police Benevolent Association, amongst others.
