The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Mike Conigliaro for City Council’s 29th District. A lifelong Queens resident, Mike was the Republican nominee for State Senate District 15 in 2014 and 2016, and is now seeking to fill the seat of term-limited City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz of the 29th District.
The focus of Mike’s campaign is to restore the oft-forgotten middle class, defend law enforcement, reform property taxes, and rebuild small businesses. His policy framework aims to increase the standard of living for all residents of the 29th District.
A longtime community advocate, Mike has removed graffiti and helped to preserve iconic buildings such as the Tower Diner and OHR Synagogue, which real estate developers wished to demolish. He has already begun to develop legislation that would establish moratoriums on actions against landlords who are late on real estate taxes, water bills, and mortgage payments, believing that landlords should also receive the generous breaks that renters have gotten during the China Virus pandemic.
Mike has been endorsed by the New York City Fire Marshals Benevolent Association, who cited his strong civic commitment to his district, fierce defense of law enforcement, and advocacy for the forgotten middle class in their support for him. He has also served on the St. John’s University Criminal Justice Advisory Board since 2018. The New York Young Republican Club urges all voters within the 29th City Council District to fight back against the New York City oligarchy by sending a fighter for this country’s forgotten men and women to City Council.
