The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse James Reilly for New York City Council District 23. Reilly is a Queens native who has substantial experience in finance, compliance, and business. With his strong background in the private sector and a depth of knowledge on budgets and taxes, Reilly is the common-sense candidate for City Council.
If elected to the City Council, Reilly vows to prioritize fiscal responsibility, government accountability, education that prioritizes children, public safety, criminal justice reform and law enforcement support, COVID-19 rehabilitation efforts, transportation, and public health and human-related services. Having lived in Queens his whole life, Reilly understands what the residents of his district go through every single day, and he has given his life and full attention to public service and increasing the quality of life in Queens. Reilly states,
“This past year, our elected officials were disconnected from the people they represent…Queens was the epicenter of the Coronavirus failure: with no masks, no plans and no guidance. The poorest communities suffered the most during the pandemic directly because of this failed leadership…Instead of leading during the pandemic, our elected officials neglected our most vulnerable: seniors in nursing homes…We are all better off when we reject social and racial division and come together as a community…Change is within our reach and it’s clearly time for change; it’s time for a better way forward…”
The New York Young Republican Club strongly urges all New York City residents living in the neighborhoods of Bayside Hills, Bellerose, Douglaston, Floral Park, Fresh Meadows, Glen Oaks, Hollis, Hollis Hills, Holliswood, Little Neck, New Hyde Park, Oakland Gardens, and Queens Village to vote in support of James Reilly for New York City Council District 23.
