The New York Young Republican Club is proud to endorse Anne Donnelly for Nassau County District Attorney. Donnelly has served 32 years prosecuting criminals and keeping Nassau County safe.
Donnelly served as Deputy Chief of Organized Crime and Rackets Bureau in Nassau County, prosecuting complex murder cases, drug dealers, rapists and more. She was involved in taking down a dangerous Long Beach drug distribution network, helping to reduce the scourge of drugs on our streets. Donnelly stands strong against so-called “bail reform,” and convicted the “porn doctor,” who forcibly touched and filmed his patients/victims. These are just some of Donnelly’s numerous accomplishments as one of the top prosecutors in the state.
Donnelly was the liaison to the Nassau County’s Correctional Center for the District Attorney’s Office, and she formerly was the Acting Chief on the Public Corruption Bureau. She previously served as the Deputy Chief of the Economic Crimes Bureau, and was a Senior Trial Assistant in the Rackets Bureau, as well as a Felony Screening Supervisor.
Donnelly stated, “I am delighted to be a candidate for Nassau County’s District Attorney…I have dedicated my career to keeping the public safe and prosecuting those who commit crimes. I want to be the District Attorney in order to protect Nassau County residents from dangerous criminals who pose a threat to society.”
Speaking on her nomination, GOP Chairman Joseph Cairo stated, “Anne Donnelly is the only choice for Nassau County District Attorney. Her opponent is a career opportunist who has worked to turn loose dangerous criminals into our neighborhoods.”
When it comes to experience and competence, there is no better fit for the Office of the District Attorney in Nassau County than Anne Donnelly. When elected, Donnelly will prioritize law enforcement, public safety, and accountability. The residents of Nassau County are presented with an opportunity to elect a qualified and experienced leader who will stop the revolving door that her opponent has placed on courthouse doors through the passage of the “cashless bail” law, which he co-authored. The law freed 3,000 inmates who went on to commit 9,000 new crimes.
