Join the New York Young Republican Club for an evening with Robert Amsterdam, a globally renowned lawyer with decades of expertise supporting sovereign states, political leaders, and high-profile clients across emerging markets. In an era defined by political upheaval and challenges to individual freedoms, the battle for liberty is waged not just in parliaments and protests, but in the courts and counsel rooms of the world.
This event will delve into contemporary threats to religious, political, and personal freedoms, examining real-world cases to illuminate how legal action serves both as a shield and a sword in the fight against oppression. Amsterdam will share his perspectives on what it means to stand for these values in a rapidly changing world, the importance of global legal solidarity, and the practical ways principled advocacy can shape a freer, more just society.
