In a landslide that was decided fifteen minutes after polls closed, the New York Young Republican Club delivered a mandate victory to Frank Morano in the special election for District 51 on Staten Island — with Morano steamrolling ahead with double the amount of votes of his two opponents combined.
“There was no question that the involvement of the NYYRC would help usher in a mandate victory for Frank Morano. It’s truly a testament to Frank’s energy and viability that we were able to gather over 50 volunteers for a day of action in a boutique election such as this. It was an honor to be involved in such a well-run race, and we look forward to working with the newly-minted Councilman Morano as he moves ahead to the primary election. Rest assured, this Club intends to help bring resounding victory after victory to him,” said Club President Stefano Forte.
The Club continues to prove itself as the powerhouse machine of the Republican apparatus across all five boroughs. We were instrumental in this victory in particular after spearheading a massive GOTV effort this past weekend — sending a bus filled with 50 people to Morano’s district and knocking on 2,000 doors, in addition to countless phone banking sessions throughout the election cycle.
Morano is truly the man for the job, a native Staten Islander who gave up a career in radio for public service to his community. This victory can only be attributed to Morano’s dedication to Staten Island as well as the hard work of the NYYRC Campaigns Committee lead by Chairman Mario Nicoletto and his team of volunteers.
“This Club is working tirelessly to get Republicans elected up and down the ballot all across the city — and beyond. As the Chairman of the Campaigns Committee, I am proud of the work we’ve done to deliver yet another historic victory for our city,” said Mario Nicoletto.
If any candidate is naive enough to enter the race for the June primary and November general election, the NYYRC is poised to deliver another resounding victory that will embarrass yet another weak competitor.
