New York, NY: The New York Young Republican Club, Inc. announced today that its annual Fall Celebration Cocktail Party on November 20th raised $800 for the Firefighters' Widows and Orphans Fund. Almost one-hundred attendees were treated to a wine and vodka tasting, while helping the club raise money for the families of New York area firefighters who were killed in the September 11th attacks.
This event comes on the heels of the Club's 'adoption' of La Casa Grande Fire House (Engine 82, ladder 31) through which the club pledged a "continuous" remembrance at a recent visit and presented Chief Thomas Hoy with yet another $800 donation.
Jason Weingartner, President of NYYRC, Inc., said, "This party gave us a chance to thank those who gave their lives to protect us on September 11th and to remember how lucky we are to live in the greatest country in the world."
The New York Young Republican Club, Inc. is a not-for-profit political organization that exists to bring Republicans, aged 18-40, together to discuss the Republican Party platform and aid the Republican Party in the education of the public about the Republican agenda and the promotion of Republican candidates for office.
