Hey Obama, isn’t it apparent, that a father is a parent?
Posted by: | CommentsThe other day, Obama responded to a question about if he will take us out of Iraq, his answer started out as: “I can only imagine how you feel, as a father and as a parent,” Now, I don’t mean to nitpick but imagine the reactions of John Stewart & Bill Maher if Bush said this. In typical fashion, they would probably show the audience a clip of that and stare into the crowd with big eyes as if to say “Can you believe he said something so stupid?”, then the crowd... Not Smart
Posted by: | CommentsLastnight on HBO Demand I was watching a comedy benefit called “Comic Relief” that would help Hurrican Katrina survivors. From what they were saying it seemed as if it was taped a couple weeks ago. Anyways, they had the usual suspects such as Rosie O’Donell and Bill Maher, etc. bashing Republicans. At one point O’Donell looks into the cameras flips the bird as if to say “F*ck Republicans”. My first thought was how many people watching that must be thinking “Ok,... Read More→
Pull out of Iraq? Or do you mean Pull out of DC?
Posted by: | CommentsThe following is an email forward that I got the other day. Very interesting!—————————————————————————— If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per100,000 soldiers. The firearm death rate... Read More→
YOU Are Why We Worry About The Wrong Things
Posted by: | CommentsThe latest Time Magazine issue talks about how we agonize over events such as Avian Bird Flu that are very unlikely to happen to us over things such as high cholesterol which leads to heart disease that kills 700,000 Americans annually. They also talk about how someone might “still look askance at a bag of spinach for fear of E. coli bacteria while filling their carts with fat-sodden French fries and salt-crusted nachos.” Basically they are saying we are poor at our personal risk management.... Does this have no end?
Posted by: | CommentsThe following is an email from the President of Hillel at Pace University to Phil Orenstein who is pushing for the Academic Bill of Rights in New York State. This is yet another example of the double standards set forth in academia. In advance, I apologize for the lengthy post, but it just needed to be in the words of who experienced it.——————————————————————————————————————————————————————-Hello,... Read More→
Even our City Council doesn’t know English
Posted by: | CommentsIn response to someone claiming that the new City Council pay raise was unethical Speaker Christine Quinn said “The pay raise is not unethical! This was a very open vote!”—- No Christine, the accusation was not “This vote is not transparent!”. Many times throughout history things happen right in front of the people but they have no real power to do anything about it. That is called a dictatorship. Is our city council acting this way because their reelections are... Read More→
Almost the pot calling the kettle black
Posted by: | CommentsTonight Andrew Coumo called Jeanine Pirro a “career politician”. It’s arguable that Andrew Cuomo is not a career politician, but not for a lack of effort! Read More →
Is there a John Faso in the building?
Posted by: | CommentsWith a few weeks left to go this season, Spitzer still has a 50 point lead over Faso (unfortunately). Why is that? The polls say that %75 of likely voters don’t know much about Faso. If that’s the case why does John Faso’s latest commercial fail to say his name even once? On the main Faso website they list an tv ad that shows a lightbulb, spitzer, and a black backgroung the whole time. The only mention of Faso his at the very end a sentence with his picture appears that says... Read More→
Blessing in Disguise?
Posted by: | CommentsCould all of this bad publicity actually help out KT McFarland? The NYPost in the last month has published 4 or 5 “damning” articles about KT. While each one scored its own shock value, in the end all I came away with is she has some family problems, that when dressed down, aren’t too far different than your average family. So how could this really help her? Name recognition! John Faso is having that problem right now. While he is losing to The Sheriff by 40 points now, it can be blamed... Read More→
