PRESS RELEASE: CAROLYN MALONEY POLLS LESS THAN 50% AGAINST RYAN BRUMBERG

NEW YORK, NY — With less than two weeks until the General Election, a new poll reveals Democratic incumbent Carolyn Maloney has less than 50% support against Republican nominee Ryan Brumberg in New York’s 14th Congressional District

Among likely voters, Maloney garnered 49.3%, Ryan Brumberg picked up 29.8%, and 20.9% of voters remained undecided. This is despite Maloney having spent $3.1 million to Brumberg’s $150,000 — a 20X difference as of September 30th.

Incumbents polling under 50% are considered vulnerable.

“This poll reflects what I have seen and heard on the streets of New York,” Ryan said in response to the data. “Rep. Maloney has voted on party lines and against the interests of our district 98.9% of the time. New Yorkers are looking for a candidate willing to look beyond party lines to address the economic recklessness of the past decade.”

The telephone poll was administered on October 19th and 20th using Precision Polling. Matthew Williams, a Columbia graduated student in statistics, advised the Brumberg campaign in designing and administering the poll.

A successful businessman and New York native, Ryan Brumberg is a fiscal conservative and social moderate with the necessary experience to address our nation’s growing issues and enact true reform. For more information on his candidacy, please visit our website, www.brumberg2010.com.
