The mises.org article makes a good observation, essentially that the constitution is the solution to politics. We should never cease reminding our fellow citizens that "democracy" in America was pushed first by pro-slavery forces (Andrew Jackson), then by pro-segregation forces (Jim Crow), then by pro-income tax forces (Woodrow Wilson). Everytime, the Democrat party has promised something at the expense of someone else. Democracy in and of itself is inherently divisive because it always entails a majority versus a minority. And it's inherently unprincipled because it lacks any source of validation outside of the "will of the people." (As divined by their "leaders.")
As a result, democracy will always be like a car on a sheet of ice, careening off one half-baked notion to another... racial hatred, class envy, xenophobia, political correctness, racial retribution. Ordinary people are drawn along as dupes while party insiders -- union leaders, special interests and lawyers -- divide the spoils of power.
The only solution is loyalty to our constitution, which interestingly doesn't include the word "democracy" or any variation thereof. However, Article IV, Section 4, states "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government."
It's time to remind Americans of our true heritage and cast aside nearly two centuries of self-serving, divisive Democrat lies . The only form of government endorsed by either our Founders or our consitution is that of our party: Republican.
