The New York State Young Republicans (NYSYR) recently elected Lynn Krogh of New York County as its next Chair, succeeding Christopher Dziedzic of Broome County. The vote was held during the organization’s biennial convention hosted by Richmond County on Saturday June 6, 2009.
Following the unanimous vote, Krogh remarked, “It is a tremendous honor to serve as the head of the nation’s strongest Young Republican organization. My predecessors have re-established an organization with a vast history dating back to 1932. Our administration plans to add to that great history enacting initiatives, from the ground up, that will ultimately change the face of New York’s Republican Party.”
Originally from Troy, Krogh is a New York City resident with a long resume in the YRs having served as Vice Chair of Rensselaer County YRs, current President of the oldest and largest YR Club in the nation: the New York County YRs, NYSYR Capital Region Vice Chair, NYSYR National Committeewoman, Communications Director for the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF), NYSYR Executive Director and most recently as Vice Chair of the NYSYR.
Krogh continued, “I want to thank everyone for their support and most importantly, outgoing Chair Chris Dziedzic for the incredible work and success this organization has had over the past two years. We look forward to building upon that foundation and pushing our message of less taxes and smaller government from Buffalo to Montauk, from Plattsburgh to New York City.”
Other officers elected yesterday include Vice Chair Jack Karwacki of Oneida County, Recording Secretary Anthony Reinhart of Richmond County, Corresponding Secretary Jonathan Judge of Kings County, Treasurer Jason Weingartner of New York County, National Committeeman Bryon McKim of Saratoga County and National Committeewoman Jennifer Gallacher of New York County
