Karl Rove: Bush Was Right When It Mattered Most

In my opinion, George W. Bush was our best President since Ronald Reagan. In the WSJ today, the Architect, Karl Rove, explains why Bush was right when it mattered most, right about the War on Terror, right about the Iraq War, right about cutting taxes, right about No Child Left Behind, and right about combatting AIDS in Africa.

Bush’s most courageous and difficult decision was the war in Iraq, and it was the right decision. We had dozens of reasons to remove Saddam Hussein from power, and it was an unfortunate mistake to premise our case on weapons of mass destruction, which, as Donald Rumsfeld predicted, could prove false. Many of Rumsfeld’s famed “list of horribles” came true, but Bush still made the right decision.

With every day of the Obama White House, I only miss George W. Bush more and more.
