Making sure Democrats stay in control of New York:
ByEliot Spitzer is currently touting the new campaign finance rules that he plans on implementing. Spitzer will limit how much can be accepted by donors and PAC’s to just $10,000. Spitzer is trying to make it sound like this is a great thing and how it’s going to remove conflicts. The reality is the move instead ensures that the state will stay in the hand of Democrats.
In a state that blindly votes Democrat, the limitation will make it virtually impossible for any Republican to promote him or herself to the voters. Add that to a New York media that suppresses Republican candidates and you get a formula for indefinite control by Democrats.

I’m just going to be frank here of what I think about Spitzer’s little plan there:
That’s bullsh*t.

It makes sense, actually.
Nobody will have the cash to contribute after property/sales/income taxes rise through the roof.

I am a Democrat. And no, I don’t get your whining complaint at all.
And my congratulations to the NYS Republicans for the bullshit job you guys did on the state deficit. No wonder that you guys look up to GWB2.
