If only we could all hold down multiple 6-figure jobs…
ByThe New York Times has details today on some of the second jobs city council members hold and the salaries they earn at them – some of them are earning six-figure salaries at their other jobs.
If the City Council wants to vote themselves a 25% raise, they need to at least show their dedication to the city by dropping the moonlighting exemption.

If the council was working full-time, I wouldn’t have a problem with the raise. It would be just under 3% annually if you looked at it and amounts to a COLA. Working part-time and getting that raise is absurd.
Why did you ban anonymous comments? You’re turning this place into a well-regulated cage.

Hmmm.
We didn’t ban anonymous comments. We just have it regulated to keep foul language, which we get, off the site.
Maybe the there was some site maintenance taking place that temporarily disabled it.
