Under Construction?
ByWith all the talk of Republicans loosing the state, one spot that Republicans could steal is the seat for Attorney General. Jeanine Pirro’s move to forget about running for Senate and go after a seat she has a thousand times better chance of winning was a good move. My mother in-law who is the most bipartisan person I know when it comes to voting, said of Pirro’s move to run for AG, “now I can vote for her”.
My confusion though is on her website www.jeaninepirro.com which when you go there claims to be under construction. With ten months before the election, somebody please get something up! Anything! At least a homepage with her picture. Especially since she’s sending out announcements with her website on it.

Vertucci this is the first post you objectively strategized that I agree with.
The only way a Republican can get elected statewide any more is if the other candidate has over stayed their welcome, or has some scandal or big mis-hap.
Cuomo and Greene have a bad track record of dirty politics and there is some worry on the left that they will destroy each other in the primary leaving Pirro to come out on top.
Slim chance that could happen, with Dem mojo turning out high for rock-star Spitzer and beloved Hillary.
But you are right strategically it is the best chance.

Nick, most people familiar with the website can find other sites to visit to read up on Pirro. The internet is not so much a deciding factor when it comes to elections. Look at the Andrew R guy who ran for Public Advocate. He relied largely on an internet based campaign, doing e-grassroots in a way Howard Dean did. He came in fifth behind some unkown candidate who was only popular in the Harlem/Inwood section no one talked about. And no website.
I’m sure her site will be up and running by the May convention.
PS.
Glad to see some local talk at the YR blog. How about discussing the three prospective Comptroller candidates: Christopher Callaghan, C Scott Vanderhoef and Kathleen Jimino.

Dan,
I hear you. The only reason I brought it up is that yesterday morning I received a press release from her people that had the website on the top.
I’m just saying don’t put your website on a release unless it’s ready.
